Financial Obligations and Policies

  • Swimmers who have not been on the team in a previous season may participate in practices for 1 week as a trial period upon providing a completed medical release form to the coach or registrar.
  • Upon completion of the trial period, if the swimmer elects not to continue, there will be no charge. Swimmers who choose to continue will be charged applicable registration and swim fees from the day the swimmer started.
  • Fees for swimmers joining in mid-session are not prorated.
  • Statements are e-mailed to parents and guardians each session. Fees are due upon receipt of the billing statement. A $10 late fee will be assessed for any fees not received within 15 days of the date the bill is sent.
  • Training fees for all swimmers are due in payments as indicated below. USA Swimming and Team registration fees are due annually. Annual fees will be prorated for swimmers joining during the fourth session.
  • No credit or refunds given for missed workouts or portion of season missed.
  • Participation in the annual Swim-a-thon fundraiser is required. The team depends on the money raised at the Swim-a-thon to meet budget requirements.

Annual Registration Fees Paid Each Fall

Registration fees are $200 per year for senior, gold, silver and bronze swimmers, Registration fees are due annually in the fall, or upon registration. This fee includes the mandatory $59 fee to USA Swimming/Pacific Northwest Swimming which provides, among other things, insurance coverage. The registration fee for swimmers in the CAATfish (former pre-competitive) group is $59, to cover the USA Swimming/Pacific Northwest registration fee.

  •  Family discount. - Families with more than one swimmer will receive a discount on the annual registration fees. The registration fee for a second swimmer in the family is $150, the registration fee for the third swimmer is $100. Any additional swimmers in a family will pay only the annual PNS swimming membership fee.

  • Registration fees are prorated to $125 for swimmers joining at the beginning of the fourth session (March 1), and to $75 for those joining at the beginning of the fifth session (May 1). For those beginning during the summer bonus session the registration fee is the prorated USA/PNS registration fee (currently $29).

 The CAAT swim year 

The CAAT year is divided into five billing sessions, each session two months long, plus a 7-week summer bonus session:

           Session I                               Sept 10 - November 4

           Session II                              November 5 - December 30

           Session III                             December 31 – February 29

           Session IV                             March 1 – April 30

           Session V                              May 1 – June 29

           Summer Session                  June 30 – August 9

 

Session dues paid every two months. The following session training dues for the 2006-07 season are due prior to the beginning of each two-month session in accordance with the billing policies set forth below:

           Precompetitive          $120

           Bronze                        $215

           Silver                          $255

           Gold                            $305

           Senior                         $345

Summer session.  The summer bonus session (June 30 – August 9) is free to all swimmers who have paid for at least two sessions during the year. For those who have swum during only one or no sessions during the year, including returning college swimmers, the dues for the summer bonus session are $200.

Swim Meet Participation and Fees:

Swim Meets are for fun and for all…  All CAAT swimmers are encouraged to experience the fun, challenge, and excitement of participating in a formal competition.  Opportunities for diverse levels competition are provided to all of our swimmers each season.  It’s fun and easy to be a part of the CAAT team of swimmers that go to any of the meets on our schedule.

 

Swim Meets. Swim Meet fees are separate from the registration fees and depend on the number of events your child is swimming. Meet fees range from $10.00 to $25.00. You will receive a notice by e-mail or from the coach of upcoming meets, with a date by which you need to tell the coach to sign your child up for a swim meet, and which days your child will attend. Meet information will be available on the pool deck or by e-mail. A written form authorizing the swimmer to be entered in the meet, along with a check, made payable to CAAT, sufficient to cover the meet fees, must be delivered to the coach

by the due date specified in order for the swimmer to be entered in the meet. No refund of meet fees are given if the swimmer signs up for the meet but is unable to attend. If the swimmer participates on any relays, the prorata portion of the relay fee will be added to the next billing statement.

Scholarship assistance.  CAAT grants full or partial scholarships based on availability of funds and upon a written statement of need.  If you would like to be considered for a full or partial scholarship, please indicate on the registration form and attach a certificate of eligibility for free or reduced school lunch, or other statement of financial need.  Swim meet fees will be billed regardless of scholarship status.
